The share for tablets in the global market is gradually dropping, but that isn’t stopping Apple from bringing in new iPads.
According to a report by
, the Cupertino giant is working on an entirely new line-up for iPads which are expected to be unveiled during an event in Spring 2017.
According to the report, Japanese website Mac Otakara says that Apple is working on four new iPad models, in 7.9-inch, 9.7-inch, 10.5-inch, and 12.9-inch models. The 7.9-inch variant will join the iPad Pro line-up, even with its slightly smaller form-factor, whereas the other three variants would be the upgrades to the existing Pro line-up.

The 10.5-inch variant is the replacement for the original 10.9-inch variant, however, with slimmer bezels, the footprint of the device has gradually reduced, and is sized similar to the current generation 9.7-inch iPad Pro. The device is also expected to eliminate the fingerprint scanner from the chin of the device.
The 12.9-inch iPad Pro is also expected to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera along with the True Tone display, seen on the 9.7-inch model. The True Tone display uses advanced quad-channel light sensors to change the colour contrasts of the display to match the surroundings.
The 7.9-inch iPad Pro will get a Smart Connector, for connecting a keyboard, similar to the iPad Pro 9.7-inch and a 12-megapixel camera at the back, with True Tone flash module.

According to renowned KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, The iPad 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch variant are going to get the faster Apple A10X processor, whereas the 9.7-inch variant will gert the A9X chip. There isn’t any information available for the hardware choice on the 7.9- inch iPad as of now.
The 7.9-inch, 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro’s are expected to start shipping in March, whereas the 10.5-inch variant will start shipping sometime in May.
